How to perform massage therapy
1. Place both palms below the xiphoid process and push outwards to the sides towards the ribs 50-100 times. Use even and coordinated force with both hands until you feel warmth in your upper abdomen.
2. Bring your index and middle fingers together and use your fingertips to massage the Jianli acupoint for 5-8 minutes.
3. Use your thumb and index and middle fingers to pinch and shake the skin around the Shenque (navel) for 3-5 minutes. Then, heat salt in a pan, put it in a small cloth bag, and apply it to the Shenque while it is still hot. This can be repeated several times.
4. Rub your hands together to warm them, then overlap your palms and massage your abdomen in clockwise and counterclockwise directions for 8-10 minutes to allow the heat to penetrate deep into the body. Then, hold the moxa stick and apply moxibustion to the Guanyuan acupoint for 5-8 minutes.
5. Rub the thenar eminence or the base of the palm along the upper edge of the pubic symphysis and the pubic hair for 5-8 minutes until a noticeable warming sensation is produced.
6. Place your thumbs on both sides of the spine and press the following acupoints in sequence: Diaphragm Shu, Spleen Shu, Stomach Shu, and Kidney Shu. Press each acupoint for 1 to 3 minutes, gradually increasing the pressure from light to heavy, until the soreness and distension are felt in the rib area.
7. Place your thumbs on the outer edge of the tibia on both lower legs and push and press along the outer side of the tibia from top to bottom 5 to 8 times. Use moderate force, and it is best to feel soreness and distension on the back of the foot or toes.
What should we pay attention to in daily life?
